Imagemaking and the Bermudian Artist

acrylic and charcoal, 36" x 24"

The works featured in this series are intended to acknowledge, analyze, and celebrate visual art created through the perspectives of artists for whom Bermuda is, or has been, home.

In this series of 21 paintings, the elements are derived from  installations, sculpture, and paintings of local artists (with consent).  They are placed into new compositions.  Increasingly, local artists see their work as a voice, as an invitation to dialogue, as an embodiment of ideas, and as a source of identity.

This series is published with the same title.  Copies are available.
